ides to sell games

my ideas to sell video games
my first idea would to be to select 5 schools and pick 20 children from each who play video games.
then they would respond to us about how well the game went, what the enjoyed, what they disliked, how well they did, and lots of other things..
then this would then start word of mouth for the people who enjoyed the game and would be a free advertising
you can put it on bus sides because lots of people see a bus everyday or get on a bus so would see the picture.
this would create lots of word of mouth from people who see the advertisment or have there opinions passed on and then have many people finding what it is.
another way is to start a website to tell people what it is and what it is about, you could then put the website address on the bus to let people know that there is an address that people can look at to find out more information about the game itself, and how it is made.
with people being able to no how things work they could be more interested in games and maybe if they make more games it would interest them even more. ]

video game sales

the top 3 main companies in the video game world are nintendo, microsoft, sony.

the top 10 games for the best selling games of 2010 (UK)
  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops
  2. FIFA 11
  3. Just Dance
  4. Red Dead Redemption
  5. Wii Fit Plus
  6. Just Dance 2
  7. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
  8. Wii Sports Resort
  9. Halo: Reach
  10. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
the main genres of the games above are war, sport, dance.

the top 3 selling consoles are wii, xbox and ps3.

xbox have sold the most units since it has been released.

according to wikia the top 7th generation games worldwide are
wii play (wii) selling 22 million
nintendogs (nintendo DS) selling 20 million
halo 3 (xbox 360) selling 8 million
metal gear solid 4 (ps3) selling 4 million
GTA: liberty city stories (PSP) selling 2 million

the differences between the UK sales and the worldwide sales are that the UK are buying the some of the same games but are not a very big contribution to worldwide.
it tells us that there aren't a lot of video players that use the consoles as much as players in other countries. as the UK is only a small country compared to USA it is a small contributer to the buying of products from games sold worldwide.

sony games are mainly war
nintendo games are mainly sport games with you being first person
microsoft are mainly war
and sega are mainly sport

with wii being the highest for a number of games is shows us that wii have done well with what they are selling and that a lot of people like the games which they make and with you being the controller they prefer it because it gets you more involved and because it targets a wider audience by selling sport, war, dance, keep fit and many more. this offers old people, children, teenagers, and adults to play a range of games which will suit them and there age group.

Rhiannas video game blog

there are a number of different ways in which you can tell what a video game is..
having a controller or a keyboard to use to control the video player
they can be used for entertainment purposes and for educational purposes
most games are challenging and have a number of different levels which you would need to be able to complete
once you have finished the game there may be a winners board, this is where you can have a winning place of where you would of been the best.

there are lots of different genre which games consist under;
war
educational
fighting
dance
platform games
arcade
mmorpg (massive multiple online role playing game)
first/third person shooter
action
adventure
driving
simulation

my favourite games out of all of the genres are driving, simulation and dance
because, i find that they are fun, and i dont really like to play a game which has levels because i get very into it and then get angry when i dont finish it so i prefere to stick with games where i can do whatever i want to.
